Tampa Bay Lightning Gain Performance Intelligence with Kinduct
Halifax, Nova Scotia - September 26, 2019

As the NHL approaches opening night, Kinduct is looking forward to another season alongside the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Lightning look to improve upon last year’s President Cup-winning success, and will continue to leverage Kinduct’s Athlete Management System during the 2019-2020 campaign.

“Both parties are happy with how the partnership has gone and optimistic about the future,” said Mark Lambert, Tampa Bay’s High Performance Director and Head Strength Coach. “Kinduct provides us with a versatile tool to gather meaningful insights as we take a deeper look into the wellness and performance of our athletes. We’re excited to get the 2019-2020 season underway.”

Athlete monitoring is a fast-growing element among NHL teams, as it can be used to manage player training load and help detect risk of future injury. Kinduct is pleased to work with a well-established organization such as Tampa Bay and look forward to supporting its coaches, trainers, and players in their hunt for the Stanley Cup.

“We’ve worked with numerous professional teams in North America’s four major sports leagues (NHL, MLB, NBA, and NFL), and we’ve seen over and over again how effective an Athlete Management System can be when it comes to gaining a competitive advantage,” said Ryan Smyth, a Sport Technologist at Kinduct. “The Tampa Bay Lightning have exciting plans for the years ahead, and we’re happy to be a part of them.”

About the Tampa Bay Lightning

The Tampa Bay Lightning were founded by Phil Esposito, Henry Lee Paul, and Mel Lowell in 1992, and are now entering their 28th National Hockey League season. Presently, the Lightning call the Amalie Arena home and compete in the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference. Their lone Stanley Cup win came during the 2003-2004 season.
