Today, it was announced that Kinduct has been accepted as one of the first 50 Sports Tech Tokyo participants. There will be between 100 – 150 participants invited to the exclusive program. Of this group, there will be 10-20 companies selected to attend the main event which will kick off in early April in Tokyo.
Sports Tech Tokyo is a program to accelerate the next generation of sports technology by bringing together the best and the brightest from around the world. Sports Tech Tokyo provides an opportunity for companies to learn and connect with other business professionals in the sports industry, world class mentors, investors, and other corporations.
“We hope to make valuable connections in the Japanese and broader APAC sports technology market,” said Frank McKinnon, VP, Asia Pacific of Kinduct. “Connecting with potential customers, strategic partners, and investors will allow Kinduct to expedite the establishment of a beachhead in the APAC market. In addition, Kinduct intends to use the program to help educate ourselves about the customs and culture around doing business in these markets. One of the great things about this accelerator is that it is geared to more established sportstech companies rather than pure startups which is more aligned with where we currently are. We believe it will be a beneficial and worthwhile experience. Happy to be included.”
