Sports Innovation Lab Leadership Board 2020

This week, the Athlete-Driven Media Leadership Board (founded by Sports Innovation Lab) held its first meeting of 2020. The board aims to focus on subjects such as data storytelling, technology, media and sponsorship, and other issues that affect the sporting experience — for companies, athletes, and fans alike.

“All of our research into human performance technology has shown that there is a divide occurring in the sports industry, with one group focusing on competition, while the other group is looking into how athlete data will change the way consumers experience sports through media,” said Sports Innovation Lab CEO and Olympic Hall of Fame athlete Angela Ruggiero. “We recognize that the sports industry needs to take a close hard look at all the ways Fluid Fans™ are changing behaviors and identify opportunities for integrating athlete data into the sports media process.”
